As we enter a new year, I was reflecting on Soul Food in Seattle. I remember going to places in the Central Area and the southend that fed your comfort food needs and all the flavors that we grew up loving so much. Places like Thomson's Point of View, Ms. Helen's, Catfish Corner on MLK, Oscar's II, The Basket Case, Jones Barbecue, and a few other places that are gone, but not forgotten. Thank you for paving the way for the 3 or 4 places in business who keep this tradition alive. May we move forward blazing new trails for the food that continues to bring comfort to many!
